Gay Marriage
I don't care. This is one of the very few "serious" social issues that I could not care any less about, because it really doesn't affect me. I don't like attending marriages of either or any kind, I don't like public displays of affection in any form, and I basically just do not care. If you want to get married, fine. If you don't, that's great too. Whatever floats your boat.

What bothers me about gay marriage (and the only thing that bothers me), is the fucked gay rights advocates that parade in streets holding signs. What the hell is the point of protest? Sure, you're making some skewered point, but you're wasting your time, blocking traffic, and all just so you can get married? Get the hell over it. It shows a lot about you; why don't you have a job? Why are you standing outside in the streets instead? I'm not implying that you don't have a home, I'm just telling you to do something more productive in your time. What's marriage worth if you don't have something to support yourself with?

Bush's Presidency
I've turned from 100%-against Bush to 50%-against Bush. During the election, I was not rooting for Kerry. I'm still not rooting for Kerry. I don't really know how I see Bush anymore, but because he's my President and therefore not my enemy, the least I can do is respect his government. If you're discontent, good for you; I don't mind. But what good is a country if you can't bend a little to support your leader? If you expect the politicians to bend to you, why can't you bend a little for them?

Yes, they are there to serve and represent you, but it's not a one way street. You have to give them something (like say your support, maybe?) in return for what they do... and that can't just be office.
